PROGRAMMES
Programmes are performances or series of performances often presented at a scheduled time, especially on Radio or Television. (Collins English Dictionary)
These include the following;
1. Documentary programmes
2. Entertainment programmes
3. News programmes
4. Political programmes
5. Religious programmes
6. Music programmes
7. Interactive/talk programmes
8. Business and commercial programmes
9. Sports programmes
10. Children programmes etc.
Of all the above programmes it is noteworthy that my favourite is the News programme.
NEWS PROGRAMMES
these are regularly scheduled Radio or Television programes that report current events. News is typically reported in a series of individual stories that are presented by one or more anchors. A news program can include live or recorded interviews by field reporters, expert opinions, opinion poll results, and occasional editorial content.
It is very improtant to know that the news programme covers virtually every other aspect of Radio or Television programming. For example current issues borthering the world of sports, entertainment, politics etc are often related to the publics via News programmes.

The Drama continues
Tinubu hits out at Jonathan
Hear him:
"The Jonathan Presidency is willing to sacrifice the lives of countless Nigerians so that it can continue to lord it over Nigerians. If they could
shoot a current Senator in broad daylight on a Sunday imagine the
mayhem they will set upon the average citizen seeking to advance his
political rights. The people’s rights to freedom of association, expression
and liberty are constitutionally guaranteed, but have been effectively curtailed by the Jonathan led government. “The people have the inalienable right to choose or associate with any
political party of their choice. Sadly, a Presidency that was a major
beneficiary of constitutional democracy conspires in Abuja in to desecrate
our political rights and mortgages our democracy. It is a deep tragedy
that the public’s money is being used to employ people and weapons to shoot at the public. This is the depths of political immorality.”
